Lions Present Omemee Santa Claus Parade!
Omemee! Santa Claus comes, Saturday December 3rd, 2011, courtesy Omemee and District Lions. Omemee and District Lions will be awarding trophies for floats, and Omemee Pigeon eFlyer will feature a separate article about each winning float. Great advertising! Omemee Santa Claus parade, a much anticipated event by young and old, willassemble at Scott Young School at 1pm, then proceed down King Street to Colborne Street beside Young Town Museum, where it will disperse north to Victoria Street. Following the parade, children will be able to share their Christmas wishes and dreams with Santa Claus at the Coronation Hall, and enjoy FREE hot chocolate and a treat! Bring your letters to Santa and place them in the drop box too.
Omemee Lions Awarding Santa Claus Parade Trophies!
Omemee Santa Claus Parade welcomes all floats. Entering a float is awesome advertising for your business! You can express your creativity,and show your community spirit! Plus Omemee and District Lions are awarding trophies and you can receive free online advertising! Trophies in this year’s Santa Claus parade will be awarded for the best float in the following categories:- Schools/Churches/Family
- Business/Commercial
- Non-Profit
'The most important thing,is to enter,'shared Lion Patterson,adding 'Anything is considered a float, from a hay wagon to a car with a bow on it. Just be creative!
Omemee Lions Hosting Santa Claus Parade – Long standing Tradition
Omemee and District Lions have been hosting the Omemee Santa Claus parade for at least 35 years. Some of the most cherished memories of area residents are of the Omemee Santa Claus parade, and the visit with Santa Claus afterwards.‘The Omemee Santa Claus Parade brings great satisfaction and joy to both myself, and my fellow Lions members to see the smiles and excitement on the children's faces, as they anticipate the arrival of Santa.'explained John, adding 'We rely greatly on our local and surrounding businesses, and we deeply value and appreciate their support. The community certainly comes together to make it all happen, giving one a special sense of the true holiday spirit! '
