Ruby’s Roost-Attawapiskat Action Centre
Attawaiskat has hit the pages of major newspapers, after the Omemee Christian Outreach meeting on Monday, Sherrie Gatenby, owner of Ruby’s Roost went online to find out more. What she found spurred her to action.
Sherrie connected with the Attawapiskat community group Attawapiskat- Making a Stand for our Children & our Elders where she read the history about what has been happening in the community. The children and seniors of the community are in dire straights, and they have been trying for several years to get a school built as shown in the video ‘Shannens Dream’ by Heartspeak Sherrie then set up a bank account at TD , and has asked people of the community to help spread the word to please bring a gift Saturday following the parade to the Christmas Concert at Coronation Hall.
Here is a wish list of items from the community. Please watch this post for updates.
