Canadian Ice Fishing Championship Change!

IMPORTANT CANADIAN ICE FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP NOTICE!


National, International, and area anglers will be pleased to hear if the New lake access location announced by the Canadian Ice Fishing Championship Co-ordinators, Lures and Tours. Peninsula Resort offers many advantages for event participants.

Peninsula Resort will have its parking areas cleared for the expected number of vehicles. This area has ice thicknesses averaging 15 inches. Previously, the starting point was to be Sibbald Point Provincial Park, but it was relocated to ensure the safety of all participants.
'This announcement is not to define the CIFC fishing zones,' shared the organizers, adding 'we are confirming we have found a suitable location from which to operate the competition'.

Peninsula Resort restaurant will be open, and they also operate ice huts- great news for participants. Lures and Tours, and. Canadian Ice Fishing Championship Participants are very thankful for Jerry Kucharchuk making their place available at such short notice.

The first destination for competitors to arrive at is the Pefferlaw Lions Hall on Friday.

Orientation Meeting, Cash Bar and Ice Fishing Presentation by Wil Wegman - 7 p.m.
(Registration services will continue through the meeting time)

Saturday 7 a.m. assemble at Peninsula Resort for inspection and check out to fishing zone
8 am competition starts - 2 pm competition ends and weigh-in starts
Administration services and Cash Bar open at the Lions Hall until 9 pm

Sunday 7 a.m. assemble at Peninsula Resort for inspection and check out to fishing zone
8 am competition starts - 2 pm competition ends and weigh-in starts

3 p.m. Lions Hall open for cash bar
4 p.m. Buffet Dinner and Awards commence
