Electronics Distract Drivers! Police Crack down

Lindsay Police Ticketing Distracted Drivers!



Kawartha Lakes Police Service targeted some of Lindsay's busiest intersections Wednesday and Thursday looking for drivers distracted by the use of electronic devices and putting other motorists at risk.
• 10 drivers were issued tickets for using an electronic device while driving.
• 9 drivers were issued tickets for disobeying traffic lights
• 2 drivers were issued tickets for other Highway Traffic Act.

Police wish to remind drivers that the out of court settlement for using an electronic device while driving is $155.
