Looking for the perfect Valentine's Day gift this year? Why not share some love with those who need it most?
It is both surprising and heartbreaking that there are nearly 400,000 people (including 148,000 children) living with chronic hunger in our province.
There are many individuals who have to choose between paying the bills or buying groceries; many parents who go without food in order to feed their children; and many children who simply do not have enough to eat.
However, your gift today, or a gift in the name of someone you love, will make a difference.
Through your support, we will be able to provide these individuals with the emergency food that they need to get back on their feet.
* $25 can provide 75 meals to Ontarians in need
* $50 can provide 150 meals to children living with chronic hunger
* $100 can provide a family of four with dinner for two months
* $500 can provide 2,000 meals to the people who need it most.
This year, make Valentine's Day about loving your neighbours and making our province a healthier and happier place to live.
Together, we can end hunger in Ontario.
Sincerely,
Bill Laidlaw
Executive Director
Ontario Association of Food Banks
