Disturbance Inside Taxi!
Two Manvers area residents were arrested overnight as the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a Lindsay licenced establishment at 0240 hours to investigate allegations of a large physical disturbance inside a parked taxi van. Police stopped the disturbance by physically removing one of the male combatants. However, a female also found herself arrested as she attempted to intervene and obstruct police from arresting her acquaintance. 22 year old Johnathon FOUNTAIN and 20 year old Alicia GAUDIN, both of the former Manvers Township were held in custody until sober, then later released pending an April 12th court date. Mr. FOUNTAIN was charged with Mischief over $5000 from damage incurred to the taxi. Ms. GAUDIN was charged with both obstructing, and assaulting a police officer.
