Will Ontario Liberal Budget Trigger Spring Election?

Green Party Ontario Anticipates Spring Election!

Green Party of Ontario, examining party budget reactions anticipates a spring election as evidenced in emails issued early today:

April 24th, politicians at Queen's Park will decide whether or not to plunge Ontario into another election, when they vote on the provincial budget. The Tories have already rejected the budget out of hand, and the NDP is still on the fence.

This means we may be facing election this spring, only 6 months after the last one.

Today's poll from Nik Nanos has only a 8% margin between Liberals/PC/NDP. The other parties' insiders might be planning on how an election would be in their own best interests, rather than looking at what is best for Ontario.

This same poll has the GPO at 6%. It's clear that people in Ontario want a party that will hold politicians to account. It's time to look out for the long term interests of Ontario, not the short term interests of political parties.

What do you think? Will we be having a Spring election, or will the budget pass on April 24th?
