OPP ISSUE BOATING WARNING!
(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising boaters of a potential navigational hazard on Sturgeon Lake.
On May 25, 2012 a wind storm damaged an area of marsh at the mouth of the Fenelon River where it meets with Sturgeon Lake. The storm has loosened large chunks from the marsh area creating a potential navigational hazard for boaters.
OPP is warning boaters to proceed with caution in this area and to always be aware of their surroundings.
