Residents,Visitors Enjoy Beach Swimming
Only one beach was posted unsafe for swimming this past week, the open beaches are a welcome relief from the heat and high temperatures we have been experiencing. Residents, and visitors alike have been making good use of the shady park with its playground, by Omemee Beach, while enjoying the cooling waters.
Residents throughout out rural area are pleased to be able to escape the heat at so many beaches. The only beach posted this week is a Beach at Fenelon Falls.
Final beach results for the City of Kawartha Lakes, for the week of July 9, 2012, are based on the most recent test results received from the provincial lab in Peterborough for water samples taken from these beaches.
