HANDGUN STOLEN FROM RESIDENCE
(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred sometime over the past three weeks.
On July 24, 2012 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP attended a residence on Sandy Point Road in response to a residential break in that had occurred while the homeowner was on vacation.
Stolen from the residence were a laptop computer and a Colt Woodsman .22LR semi-automatic handgun.
A Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) attended the residence to assist with the investigation.
Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.khcs.ca and submitting an anonymous tip online.
