Free Rural Computer and e-Reader Workshops
City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library offers free computer and e-reader workshops to the public, at most locations.These workshops are a free service and should not be considered professional advice; instead, are led by a CAP - community access program youth worker, who continues to learn about the changes and advances in this technology.EReader Shopping? Computer workshops are based on personal needs. Consider bringing in some questions or declaring an area of interest when registering. Network computers do have some limitations in programs, so if you have a specific program in mind, feel free to bring in your laptop. However, internet access is limited to the network computers at Rural libraries. Have an internet question? Lindsay, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls are the only public libraries in the City of Kawartha Lakes offering wireless internet, at this point.Rural Computer Workshops
Computer and eReader Workshops are offered at library branches throughout City of Kawartha Lakes. Locally, you can register for a workshop at the following branches:
- Bethany Branch (705-277-2321)– December 4th
- Dunsford Branch (705-793-3037) –December 5th
- Omemee Branch (705-799-5711) – December 12th
