Omemee Bluegrass Pickin' Sessions Begin September 28!
by Gerry MitchellHi Folks,
I hope you are all well and had a nice summer. The bluegrass music highlight of my summer was seeing Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver perform at the Conestoga Trail Bluegrass and Gospel Festival.
Omemee Bluegrass Pickin' Sessions are set to start up again at Omemee Legion.
The sessions will be moving upstairs to much better size rooms which have excellent acoustics. We are also switching from alternate Sundays to alternate Saturdays from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.
The change to Saturdays should be better for the following reasons: - we will no longer have a conflict with the Pineridge Bluegrass Club dates or the Winter Concerts in Scarborough; - attendance for Legion music events has historically been better on Saturdays than Sundays. Our first session for this season will be on Saturday, September 28.
Please pass this post on to all your bluegrass picking friends and fans. I look forward to getting together to pick and hear about your summer experiences.
See you soon,
Gerry --
