Binder Becomes Weapon!
September 17, 2013 at approximately 10 a.m. two males who attend the same class at a Peterborough High School. began a verbal argument while in the classroom. The verbal argument escalated at which time the two confronted each other physically.The accused struck the co-accused in the face with a binder and then they both exchanged numerous punches. The teacher was able to separate both students. Police were notified and attended. As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. The co-accused was arrested and charged with assault. They were both released from custody and will appear in court on October 21, 2013. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act a Young Offenders name cannot be released.
