“The City’s Septic Rehabilitation Loan Program (SRLP) is a voluntary loan program developed to assist property owners with septic systems to improve the environment,” explained Ms. Norris.While participation in the program is completely voluntary, homeowners are able to apply for the loans to have the rehabilitation work completed and then have the amount added to the property’s tax bill to repaid over time.
“Applications are accepted, reviewed and processed on a first come, first serve basis,” said Ms. Norris.The Ontario East Municipal Conference is attended by more than 500 delegates annually and is comprised of a diverse group of elected officials, economic development professionals, entrepreneurs, municipal employees and service providers, private sector business leaders and provincial ministry representatives.
