City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Media Release Police Issue Warrant For Arrest of Suspect In Tuesday’s Stabbing
City of Kawartha Lakes Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of 29 year-old John Robert Thibeault of no fixed address, in relation to a stabbing that occurred in downtown Lindsay on Tuesday September 13th, 2016. Thibeault is wanted on charges of:- Robbery,
- Break and Enter,
- Aggravated Assault,
- Possession of A Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and
- Two counts of Failing To Comply with a Probation Order in relation to the stabbing.
At 8:03am on Tuesday September 13th, 2016 City of Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a Kent St. West apartment after receiving a call about a man being stabbed. Investigation has revealed that the man was stabbed after his apartment was broken into. The man was transported to a Lindsay area hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Since that time members of the Kawartha Lakes Police have been continuing to investigate the matter and were successful in getting a warrant for the arrest of Thibeault.
