Green Maplekey-like Large Insect Alights Atop Banner!
A large green green insect, shaped like a maple key, was stuck to the Omemee Welcome Centre Banner this morning. Extricating its six legs from the sticky tape proved to be a chore-and-a-half, as it excitedly flailed each leg back in contact with the double-sided tape. Eventually, the insect tired out, relaxed, and let us gently nudge its pronged toes from the tape. This huge insect gave 4 quick flaps of its wings before beelining for the door. Can you name this insect?
