CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) –A vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in the driver facing numerous charges.
December 26, 2012 an OPP officer observed a vehicle being operated with an improper plate. The officer stopped this vehicle on Simcoe Street near Skyline Road in the former Mariposa Township.
Investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was suspended from driving and that the vehicle was not insured.
As a result of the investigation Samuel BALL, 40 years of age, of Mariposa Township, was charged with driving while suspended, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and with operating a vehicle without insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The accused will appear in court on February 12, 2013, in Lindsay.
