Flooding Closes Burnt River Area Roads
Update:5:10 Apr21 More Road Closures added
2 pm April 21 2013, two more roads were added to the closed roads list: Brooks Lane and Birch Lane off Chisholm Trail north of Sebright in the Black River watershed. City of Kawartha Lakes Mayor Ric McGee declared a State of Emergency the evening of Saturday April 20 . Flood levels in the Village of Burnt River are expected to meet or exceed 1991 levels.
Current Kawartha Lakes road closures due to flooding include:

Current Kawartha Lakes road closures due to flooding include:
- Brooks Lane off Chisholm Trail north of Sebright in the Black River watershed.
- Birch Lane off Chisholm Trail north of Sebright in the Black River watershed.
- Southam Drive
- Shankland Drive
- The Moorings
- Fells Station Rd from Rd. 121 to the dead end.
- Brook Rd. closed at the 3rd Conc.
- River Rd closed 0.5 km south of the 3rd Conc.
- Crooked Ct. closed at Kozy Kove Rd
- Kozy Kove Rd. from the first bend to the left
- Cedar Plank Rd. closed at the 3rd Conc Shuttleworth Rd closed at Wildflower
- Superior Rd off of Rd. 121 is flooding and will be closed.
- Black River Rd (north of Sebright) from Chisholm Trail to Muskoka Rd 6 is flooded and will remain closed until further notice. It is also flooded east of Chisholm Trail towards Lewisham Rd and closed this direction as well.
- Laxton Bexley Rd is also flooded and closed at this time, from French Settlement Rd to Deer Lake Rd.
- Wrex Rd is also flooded and closed.
- Pinery Rd. remains closed from Winchester Dr. to the Rail Trail approximately 2km east of the Burnt River Road
- Fairbarin Rd south of Rd 37 Is flooding and will be closed. This road is not connected to the Burnt River
