Norland - Coboconk Water Levels May Increase
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) flood warning remains in effect. On the Gull River, the Trent-Severn Waterway (TSW) is advising that water levels are expected to continue to rise over the next 24 hours within the Town of Minden. To assist with flood efforts in Minden, TSW is managing high water levels on upstream lakes which are also expected to continue to rise. This will affect the Norland and Coboconk areas. The Burnt River and Irondale River have peaked and water levels are receding.Pigeon Lake Shoreline Flood Watch Upgraded to Warning
Kawartha Region Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Warning for the shoreline areas of Balsam, Cameron, Sturgeon and Pigeon Lakes. Shoreline residents are advised to take precautions to protect themselves and their property, to monitor water levels closely and to contact the municipality should any threat of flooding develop. The flood warning is in effect until Wednesday, April 25.New Kawartha Lakes Road Closures

Sandbags continue to be available at the Burnt River Depot and the Coboconk Depot. Sand and sandbags will also be available at the end of affected roads.Evacuated? To Do List
Public Works staff continue to monitor water levels and are marking water covered roads. The Burnt River Community Centre remains open. Residents who are evacuated are encouraged to register with the Red Cross at the Community Centre even if they don’t require assistance at this time. All the scheduled activities at the Burnt River Somerville Centre in Burnt River will be cancelled this week due to the emergency situation. There will be no Bingo or Diner's Dinner this week. When leaving your home please ensure the hydro is shut off at the panel and that the valve in the bottom of furnace oil tanks is closed. Anyone needing assistance with evacuation should contact the city’s call centre at 705-324-9411 during daytime hours of operation from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. After 4:30 p.m. please call our after hours municipal emergency service provider at 1-877-885-7337. If you feel in immediate danger at any time please call 911. Residents will be advised when it is safe to return home.Boil Water Advisory Continues
