Don Mitchell, Omemee donning his Purina Walk for Dog Guides hat, welcomes walkers to join him Sunday May 26, 2013 raising funds with LIONs for Dog Guides.Don, an active participant in the Omemee Walk for Dog Guides, says it is an enjoyable walk beginning at Omemee Curling Club on James Street, to Omemee Roadside Cafe, then north on Sibley Avenue, along the Kawartha Rail Trail to Robertson's Garage, then back to Omemee Curling Club.

If you would like to walk the trail with Don, forms are available from LIONs members, at Omemee Foodland, and online.Want to sponsor Don? Catch him walking around Omemee, or sign one of his pledge forms at Omemee Panda Express, or Heaven on Seven. Don also welcomes people to join him in his early morning walks around Omemee.
'Walking is one of the best exercises people can do,' shares Don, who walks the length of Omemee throughout the year.
