Local Senior Hero Faces Sexual Exploitation Charges !
Community Care Driver - CHEX Local Hero - Faces Charges
A 70 year old Lindsay man, featured as a CHEX local hero, was arrested April 18th at 8:45pm for betraying the trust of a female friend. August 2012 CHEX uploaded a video profiling a community care driver in its local hero spotlight series. That local hero is now facing two charges: one count of sexual exploitation of a person with a disability, and one count of sexual assault.Ray Chiovetti, 70 is profiled in the following clip from the CHEX TV series - Local Heroes
Ray Chiovetti is a local hero who takes the time to help many of them get out and about. Getting around to do everyday things like shopping can be very difficult for seniors who are no longer able to drive, or simply do not have a vehicle..
What Precipitated the Alleged Charges?
The victim alleges she befriended an acquaintance for a period of time and had grown dependent upon him for assistance. That friendship quickly ended with alleged inappropriate behavior.
