Urban Indoor Farmer Hides Hydro Usage!
Sophisticated Grow Op Reroutes Peterborough Hydro!
Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at approximately 1:45 p.m. members of the Peterborough Lakefield police Drug Unit and several members of the Emergency Response Team with assistance from the OPP Drug Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office executed a search warrant at 1455 Wildlark Drive, Peterborough. Located inside the residence was a very well - planned, sophisticated marijuana grow operation.Home Grown Homemade Hydro Rerouting Unsafe
During the search, it was discovered a hole had been punched through the foundation of the home and the hydro was re-routed so that it was bypassing the metre to that home. As a result, Peterborough Utilities has been called to assist to turn the power off to make this residence safe before officers can dismantle the grow operation.Police are asking for the neighbours co-operation to remain away from this area, and let the police and other agencies complete this job. The neighbours are safe, but are being asked to stay away from the immediate area.
Initial estimates are that somewhere between 300 and 500 marijuana plants were located inside the home. One male was arrested inside the residence at the time the warrant was executed. The investigation is continuing. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
