Sunday June 22, 2014  Millbrook Ontario This Sunday, Millbrook Ontario is all about local Food. Millbrook Farmers Market, and Circle Organic Farm Open House both welcome you Sunday.
Many Millbrook businesses will also be open to support these events.

Circle Organic, a working Organic family farm in Millbrook Ontario invites you to come see their working organic farm and enjoy nature. During the Open House from 1- 4pm There will be lots happening including a "Water-Harvesting and  Combating Drought with Earthworks" workshop with Douglas Barnes, If you would like to be part of this workshop you are asked to please preregister by calling 705.932.9888. What else is happening at the open house? Lots! Please check out the poster, and if your eyes are better than ours, please leave a comment and tell us what is written on the tomatoes.

About Circle Organic Farm

Circle Organic is a small community-based family farm in Millbrook, Ontario, producing fresh, quality organic food for Peterborough and the surrounding area. They grow over 70 types of vegetables, fruits and herbs, and a wide range of flowers. This diversity helps the soil and contributes to biodiversity on the farm. Many of their seeds are heirloom varieties and all their farming is done by hand.
Circle Organic farm is certified organic by Pro-Cert Canada and they are deeply committed to growing our food with the highest ecological standards in mind. This means that in their farming practices they consider their impact on soil life and fertility; water systems and conservation; air quality; and the natural flora and fauna in our farm ecosystem. Circle Organic is committed to working closely with other growers and organizations to build a local food system that is resilient, vibrant and life-sustaining.

About Millbrook Farmers Market

Millbrook Farmers Market is at the Old Millbrook School. The Millbrook Farmers Market is running from 10am until 2pm on June 22nd, July 27th, August 24th, September 28th and October 26th. Millbrook Farmers Market is a collection of local vendors selling everything from fruits and vegetables, to preserves and perennials.
