Ops Community Centre – Funding Workshop Venue!
‘Show Me the Money’ Event Sponsorship Workshop - Part Two!
We ask-Who will get to See it?
Scheduling of Small Business Week Event Ignores Needs of Many Small Business Owners
Bill Walker of PURE Kawartha the presenter of this workshop offered as part of City of Kawartha Lakes Small Business Week, is a former Director, Marketing & Development at Olympic Spirit Toronto. He has created a very helpful agenda, and it should be extremely informative. However, it is disappointing to see the event is scheduled during the day.The timing of this event, has us scratching our heads in curiosity. Why hold an event, during the day, when many small business people would be unable to attend, unless they were to close up shop? Is this timing meant to shut out a major part of the target audience? Sole business owners,or businesses owned by people who are also employed elsewhere, may have great difficulty attending this useful session. We can only hope a series of videos will be shot, and uploaded to increase the accessibility of this event. If you do have Monday afternoons free to attend the session details are as follows:
Ops Community Centre, Monday, afternoon, October 17, 2011,Groups and businesses are invited to gather to learn more about events funding opportunities. The workshop, which takes place from 1 to 4:30pm will cover topics such as:
- How to Use Cash & In-Kind Sponsorship Funds Creatively
- Media Sponsorship Strategies
- Ungated Events and ROI Strategies
