Peterborough: Teens Commit Street Robbery!

Early Evening Street Crime!


March 23rd between 7pm and 8pm four victims were walking along a paved footpath near McDonnell Street when they were approached by the accused and three other suspects. The accused, and the three other males began intimidating and threatening the victims demanding they turn over everything of any value.

Four Teens Demand Items


The victims felt threatened and turned over an Ipod Nano, two baseball caps, sweater and small amount of change. There were no weapons seen or used. After the confrontation the suspects fled the scene in different directions. Suspects appeared to be youths ranging in ages from 14 to 16 yrs.

Male 14 Charged


Police became involved and initiated a robbery investigation. In the early morning hours of March 24th, a 14 year old male was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery and one count of breach of probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing in the morning. The victims were not injured, and police continue to investigate. The name of the accused can’t be released as he is a Young Offender.
