Loners Motorcycle Member Assaulted - Crime Stoppers Seek Clues!

Peterborough Lakefield Community Police are continuing to investigate a serious assault that occurred on Park Street near Perry Street on July, 22, 2012 shortly after 1 a.m.  The victim in this incident has received surgery for a non-life threatening injury and is recovering at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. The victim is a confirmed member of the Loners Motorcycle Club.
As a result of this incident local police, in cooperation with the Biker Enforcement Unit and the Emergency Response Team, executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at 285 Perry Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. on July, 22 2012.
No charges have been laid at this time. Police are still asking for any witnesses that may have observed the altercation on Park Street to contact them at 705-876-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
This incident is an isolated incident; however the potential for innocent people to get caught in the middle of this type of violence is always concerning. Police have been and will continue to work closely with the Biker Enforcement Unit and other agencies to monitor the local biker situation and do everything they can to ensure the safety of our citizens.
