New Omemee Library Summer Kids Fun Free Events Announced!

Special Omemee Library Events Make A Splash!

Omemee Public Library just added two more great free fun events to its line up of kids’ summer fun, and you’re invited! Omemee is just a short jaunt from Peterborough, Lindsay, Bobcaygeon,and points in between. Come out and join in the fun!

Four Great Kids Summer Events Now Scheduled!

Two new kids summer craft fun sessions have been added to the Omemee Public Library schedule of ‘Splash’ themed events. Everyone has been eagerly looking forward to ‘Storytime with Bev’ from the Ontario Early Years Centre, July 25th, and now to the delight of parents and youngsters looking for a fun way to beat the summer heat, three Splish Splash Stories & Craft sessions will also be available at the Library for locals and visitors a like over the summer.  While registration is not necessary, it does assist the Library in preparing the program space. Call  Omemee Pubic Library at 705-799-5711 to let them know you will be joining in the fun. These ‘Splash’ themed sessions are offered to complement the ‘Splash, Celebrate Summer!’TD Bank Summer Reading Club.

Summer Reading Club : Splash, Celebrate Summer!

While enrolment in the TD summer reading club is not necessary to join in summer fun library sessions available in Omemee and other libraries throughout Ontario, boys and girls who join the reading club will receive a fantastic gift pack. The summer reading fun packages include: a special poster, stickers, book bag, and activity booklet based on the theme 'Splash'. Readers are encouraged to record the books they enjoy over the summer on their Log Sheet. For every three books they record, they will receive a special sticker, and have their name entered in a weekly draw. Kids can enter the ‘Splash’ contest at their local library and join in the online fun on the TD Summer Reading Club Website

  • Monday, July 25 at 11 am Enjoy stories, songs, activities and crafts.

Splish Splash Stories and Craft Sessions

  • Wednesday, July 27th at 4 pm Enjoy theme based stories and a craft. Everyone Welcome!
  • Monday, August 22nd  at 11 am  Enjoy theme based stories, activities and a craft. Everyone welcome.
  • Wednesday, August 24th at 4 pm Enjoy theme based stories and a craft. Everyone Welcome!
