Police Seeking Thin Man!
Were You in Lindsay?
Kawartha Lakes Police Service are looking for assistance from the public in identifying an assailant who confronted a male walking in the downtown area of Lindsay around 10:15pm on Thursday evening. The lone suspect confronted the victim on a public sidewalk and a physical altercation ensued. During the struggle, a duffle bag belonging to the victim was dropped on the ground spilling some of its contents. The suspect fled the scene with an electronic device from the duffle bag. The victim only received minor injuries as a result of the assault.
The suspect male was described as a white male, 18-19 years of age, approximately 6'0"-6'3" in height with a thin/lanky build. The male was wearing a black winter jacket with fur trim around the hood and dark or blue jeans.
Police are currently describing this incident as a random act and the original motive of the assailant for confronting the victim is not known. Anyone with information leading to the identity of this assailant is asked to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service or Kawartha Crimestoppers.
