Propane Cylinders Recalled !

Health Canada Recalls Propane Cylinders!

Health Canada has recalled Manchester 100# Vertical DOT Propane Cylinders that were produced during January 2012 through September 2012. A small percentage of the cylinders have been found to have very small leaks at the threaded connection between the cylinder and valve.

'A number of these cylinders were sold locally through TSC Stores, and we're asking people to check to see if theirs has been recalled,' said Fire Prevention Inspector Karl Gleason. 'A leak in the cylinder can be very dangerous.'
The cylinders can be identified by the date codes 1-12 through 9-12 and the following model numbers: 14281TC.1; 14281TC.11; 14281TC.17; 14281TC.25; 14281TC.23. The product is constructed of steel, the cylinder body height is 41" (not including collar and valve) and 15.06" in diameter and is equipped with collars and a single vapor POL valve. Consumers with the recalled cylinders are to contact Manchester Tank & Equipment Company at 1-800-640-6327.
