About the 'Trans Canada Trail Map to Omemee'

The map, a screen shot of which is shown below, shows the Trains Canada Trail Route from Jackson Pond in Peterborough, to Omemee Other handy special features include an elevation map, and the location of the Trestle Bridge, one of the Trail’s, almost hidden treasures. The Trestle Bridge, just south east of Emily Park, affords an amazing panoramic view to those with the nerves of steel to cross it.

The route from Jackson Park to Omemee is described as an easy 20 km ride along a limestone trail surface. It is also noted that food is available in Omemee. For people familiar with Omemee, this may seem the understatement of the year. In addition to the Omemee Foodland grocery store with onsite bakery, Omemee may actually have more restaurants and coffee shops per capita than other communities in the area. People love to visit Omemee’s eateries, and we have great food.
