Record Launch Tonight!
Omemee Barn - Sound Studio!
Tonight, Get Bent Records celebrates the Winter Solstice with the release of a new 7" vinyl recording made at Doug Kennedy;s barn on Grassy Road just outside Omemee.
Get Bent Records is a boutique music label focussing on the grass-roots development of independent musicians sharing in their do-it-yourself attitude, ethical philosophy, and penchant for high-fidelity sound.
Over the last 4 years Get Bent Records has developed and supported a list of widely talented independent bands and artists from the Durham Region and surrounding areas in Southern Ontario, including The Micronite Filters, The Recroom, BradleyBoy MacArthur, Jeff Leech, Ron Warne, the DGB and more.This latest release by The Standstills was recorded at Doug Kennedy's barn on Grassy Road,just outside Omemee.
The 7" brown vinyl record features 2 new songs by The Standstills-Jesus on side A and The Wolf on Side B. Artwork being provided by Renee Couture of The Standstills.
Here is side A of the Standstills,a 45 rpm 7 inch brown vinyl single, with Jonny Fox on Vocals and Guitar,and Renee Couture on Drums and Percussion. This was recorded at the Kennedy Barn in Omemee, Ontario. The record is now available through the band, and Get Bent Records.com
