Men Tied While Women Away! Omemee Curling!

Omemee Women's Team Away While Men Tied Up!

Men's Farm Equipment Cash Spiel

Omemee Curling Club, hosted 14 teams this weekend in the Men's Farm Equipment Cash Spiel today at Omemee Curling Club. Both draws ended in ties, so there were 4 winning teams in all. The first draw saw Glen Highland's Omemee team tie for first with Murray McKinnon's Peterborough team, and the second draw had Dave Nigh's team from Lindsay Curling Club tie with Enzo Tarantino team from Peterborough Curling Club.

Best Western Women's Challenge Provincial Championship

Meanwhile, Omemee's Team Welbourn competed in the Best Western Women's Challenge Provincial Championship at the Prince Edward Curling Club, and the Stirling Curling Club. Omemee's Welbourn team, won the 'B' side of the Best Western Women's Challenge and Fairfield Marriott Challenge hosted on their home ice, the weekend of January 7, 2012. As of Friday evening, the team consisting of: Skip - Tara Welbourn, Vice- Diane Armstrong, Second - Carol Collison, lead - Darlene McBride, and Alternate - Debby Granger; Challenge Provincial Championship; stood on 1 win, 0 losses after their opening game on Friday night.

Want to join in the fun? Ron O’Neill will be sponsoring the Shamrock Electric Bonspiel at Omemee Curling Club, Saturday, March 10, 2012.Two 8-end Games will be played with Two draws - one at 8:30 am and the other at 10:45 am.There will be cash prizes for the top 3 teams in each draw. Entry fee of $140 per team, includes a delicious hot lunch catered by Omemee Curling Club.
