Hundreds Partying Endanger EMS Crews!


Mobs Lob Beer Bottles!


Durham Street West in the Town of Lindsay had the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service responding to numerous house parties as occupants used St Patrick's Day as an excuse to cause mischief.

Partiers Damage Ambulance


Police and EMS responding together to address neighbor's concerns were confronted by mobs of 200-300 people throwing beer bottles at both emergency vehicles, and emergency personnel. Aside from minor damage to one ambulance, all paramedics and officers were uninjured.
Numerous liquor tickets were issued by attending police officers attempting to assist surrounding neighbours.
The Board of Works has been asked this morning to assist with the clean up of broken glass in the area of Durham Street West and Albert Street.

Peterborough Partiers Still Being Processed


Peterborough Police were kept busy all night responding to calls for service.complaints due to Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations. There were a total of 72 calls for service regarding noise complaints, disturbances, liquor offences and trouble with youth. Intoxicated persons were still being brought to the station for their safety after 7am this morning. Police laid a total of 23 Liquor offence charges.
