Win Treats!

While you are picking up your colouring sheet at the library, be sure to enter the Library’s “Count the Dog Treats Contest” too. Correctly guess the number of dog treats in the jar at your local library, and you could win the dog treats to give to your furry friend plus a special treat for yourself compliments of Kawartha Dairy!

Dog Walkathon

City of Kawartha Lakes Public Library has partnered with the Humane Society for the 10th Annual “Tails in the Park” Dog Walkathon & First Annual Festival on Sunday, June 10th 2012 at the Ken Reid Conservation Area. Colouring contest winners’ entries will be displayed at the Festival on June 10th.

Pet Care Presentation

Donna Ludgate, from the Humane Society, will be at the Lindsay Library on Tuesday, June 5 at 6:30 to talk about pet care. Drop by and learn more about your pet and the work of the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.

The Library has lots of books and dvds to help you learn more about your special friend. Your library card gives you free access to e-books, books, and dvds on pet care, dogs, and dog training. You can visit the Library’s online catalogue at www.kawarthalakes.canlib.ca
