Omemee businesses run ad campaigns urging motorists 'Omemee, it's worth the stop.' However, highway meandering moose might be a natural solution.

Shortly before 7:30am 1310News Ottawa received a report of a moose on the loose at Lester Road just west of Albion Ottawa. Listener Jennifer Fallowfield sent the news station a pic of the moose spotted on Lester, showing a line of stopped traffic waiting for the moose to finish crossing the road. Apparently Moose on Ottawa area roads are not as uncommon as you might think. Ed Hand of 1310 saw one back in January on Conroy near Bank. Since Moose do an excellent job, naturally slowing traffic, perhaps Omemee could import a pair to patrol the streets in the early morning hours.
