Clothesline Wars - Lindsay Odd Spot!

Clothesline Flap Ends In Violence

Environmentally -friendly folks hang their laundry to dry. However, flapping laundry really gets some people in a flap, as one Lindsay resident discovered today.
From the Lindsay Police reports comes a story that bears resemblance to an old children's counting out rhyme:

My Mother Saw Your Mother Hanging Out the Clothes..

A neighbor dispute over hanging laundry resulted in police arresting one neighbor and holding her for a bail hearing. Officers were called to a Queen Street residence this morning at 10:40am after two neighbors became involved in a heated argument over an article hanging on a clothes line. One neighbor insisted that the article reduced the air circulation to her property.
Police alleged one woman, armed with a pair of kitchen scissors, trespassed on the property of her neighbor to remove the article hanging on the clothes line. The owner of the property attempted to stop her and the verbal confrontation turned physical. 60 year old Catherine Francis TAYLOR was arrested and charged with uttering threats, assault, and assault with a weapon.
