Pontypool Man Charged in Hit and Run!

Pontypool Makes Court Appearance December 15th!

Following an investigation, Thomas Barton of Pontypool,was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Over .08 and Fail to Remain at an Accident.

November 17th, 2011 the Peterborough Lakefield Community Police were called to attend a Corrigan Hill Road regarding a Hit & Run accident which occurred in the complainant's laneway.  Officers attended the scene and noted the damage caused to the suspect vehicle resulted in auto fluid leaking onto the ground.  The fluid was followed a short distance to another laneway where the suspect vehicle was located.

Police questioned the persons in attendance at this residence and learned the identity of the vehicle's driver.  Charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Over .08 and Fail to Remain at an Accident is 19 year old Thomas Barton of Pontypool.  Barton will make his first court appearance on December 15th, 2011 to begin the process of determining his innocence or guilt.
