Information Session with Dave Hemingway to discuss the current Constitutional Charter Challenge by Julian Falconer regarding Industrial Wind Turbines.
Greetings!
With the news of the cancellation of the Stoneboat Wind Farm last week, there now remains three wind farm projects in various stages of approval, in the area of Bethany and Manvers in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Although there are no currently planned Industrial Wind Turbine projects within the Township of Cavan Monaghan, mounting pressure following the release of the 2013 Long Term Energy Plan to construct Industrial Wind Turbine projects in Eastern Ontario, which includes Cavan Monaghan is going to continue to increase.
Dave Hemingway from Safe Wind Energy for All Residents (SWEAR) will be presenting as a delegation at our Council meeting on Tuesday, March 11th at 1 pm, and then providing a more thorough presentation along with a question and answer period later that evening at the Cavan Monaghan Municipal Office, starting at 7 pm. SWEAR began in May, 2011 by taking a look at different strategies before designing a plan and moving forward with the Charter Challenge and constitutional lawyer, Julian Falconer.
Dave will be sharing their experiences and successes with our community during this evenings discussion. Several communities have already joined to unite the fight, in order to work together, since all of us are facing the same issues. I hope that you will join us tomorrow night, Tuesday, March 11th @ 7 pm.
Thanks,
Scott McFadden
