We received notification and link to dating profile of a man from Omemee.
Why is this shocking?
Most dating sites are encrypted to protect the privacy of their users.

The dating site, Plenty of Fish, offers increased public exposure by not encrypting the dating profiles of its users.Here is a screen shot of the Google Alert we received:
While this could be beneficial for Matty in some ways, consumers need to be aware that their dating profile will show up in Google search results.
For people in larger communities,like Toronto, having your dating profile open to all, may not be a great concern.
However, in small communities, like Omemee, you might want to think twice about having your information so readily available.
