Omemee Man Facing Criminal Harassment Charges:

Female CHEX Employee Harassed!

CHEX Television Peterborough staff notified police of suspicious activity in their parking lot,and disconcerting letters received by a female employee over the past week.John Peter Wolfer of Mary Street Omemee was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. Here are the details:

Between the September 6th and 15th, staff at CHEX Television, Peterborough, observed a van parked in their parking lot on Monaghan Road at various times. The male occupant had been acting suspiciously, and dropped off two letters addressed to a female employee on the 12th and the 15th of September. The content of the letters was concerning to the employee and the police were called on both the occasions. While police were investigating, on the 15th of September, the suspect vehicle was observed driving south on Monaghan Road. The van was stopped, and as a result of the investigation, the driver, John Peter Wolfer, age 57 of Mary Street West, Omemee was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. He was held in custody to appear in court this morning.
