Omemee Christian Outreach - What's Happening?

Omemee Christian Outreach Welcomes You!

Highlights of the evening included speakers, music, kids craft corner, and a delicious dinner featuring local organic beef, cabbage rolls, the kids favourite hotdogs, followed by delicious homemade tarts,Christmas cookies and fruit trays.

Praise and Prayers

Several musicians generously shared their gifts, and thought provoking speakers shared scriptures from the Bible, giving examples of their application in our lives today. The children enjoyed making crafts, and starting their manger scene for Advent, which they will be working on each week.

Pray for Attawapiskat

A prayer request for the families of Attawapiskat and our government, was brought forward, and several people in attendance, were inspired to action.

Omemee Christian Outreach Coming Events

Omemee Christmas Parade, Concert, and Attawapiskat Outreach

Several people spoke about the importance of including Christ in Christmas Celebrations, and how schools were not allowed to celebrate a Christmas centered on Christ. Some musicians have agreed to perform and lead singing at the concert on Saturday following the parade, and others are spreading the word that people are welcome to perform Saturday afternoon. Omemee Christen outreach will have treat for children at Coronation Hall following the parade, and a drive to help the children of Attawapiskat is being headed up by Sherrie Gatenby through Ruby’s Roost. Everyone is asked to please bring a gift for the children of Attawapiskat to the Coronation Hall on Saturday following the parade.

Plans are also coming together for entertainment that night as well, with several musicians, and other performances.
