OFAH 2011 Conservation Awards –Honour Someone You Know!

Ontario’s most prestigious conservation awards,seek your nominations. Nominate a conservationist you know to be honoured at the Ontario Federation Anglers and Hunters 84th Annual General Meeting.Choose a category, and let a conservationist know their work is noticed and appreciated.There are many categories of awards,and you do not need to be a member to nominate someone,nor to win many of the awards. Here are the OFAH Conservation Award Categories:

  • Professional who in a professional capacity has made the most significant contribution to conservation and the advancement of responsible hunting and angling in 2011.- R. G. Morgan Professional Conservation Award
  • Youth Educator who made the greatest contribution to conservation education as a professional or a volunteer during 2011- Larry Wallace Memorial Award
  • Hunting Education - for outstanding involvement in the development and/or delivery of Ontario's Hunter Education Program, and/or promotion of Ontario's Hunting Heritage during 2011.-Ontario Hunting Heritage Award
  • OFAH Junior Club most engaged in conservation initiatives in 2011- Ministry of Natural Resources Junior Conservation Award
  • OFAH Junior Member who made the most outstanding contribution to conservation in 2011 - OFAH Heritage Junior Award

How to Place A Nomination for the OFAH Conservation Awards

Anyone can submit a nomination! Simply provide the name of the club or individual, the award, a description of their achievements, any media stories, testimonials, photos, or other supporting materials that may be available.

The following nominations however, need to be sent to your OFAH zone secretary for forwarding to OFAH head office. Please contact your zone for the deadline.

  • OFAH Member judged to have done the most outstanding work for conservation as a volunteer in 2011- Gord Blake Memorial Award
  • OFAH Club that made the most outstanding contribution to conservation in 2011 - Mary Pickford Trophy One of the Federation's oldest and most renowned awards.

Submission deadline is Monday, January 16, 2012. Don't delay!
