Omemee Medical Centre Welcomes New Doctor!

Omemee Medical Centre welcomed a new doctor Monday. What could be more appropriate during Doctor Appreciation Week!

Kawartha Lakes, June 2, 2014: The Kawartha Lakes Health Care Initiative (KLHCI) and Omemee Medical Centre were pleased to announce the recruitment of Dr. Richard Kondejewski. Dr. Kondejewski began practicing at the Omemee Medical Centre on Monday, June 2, 2014.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Kondejewski, the Omemee Medical Centre, and Dr. Clay to facilitate this recruitment. Many Omemee residents will remember Dr. Kondejewski from the time that he locumed for Dr. Ludwig. I am very pleased that he has decided to begin a practice on a permanent basis,” states Cindy Snider, the recruitment and retention coordinator for KLHCI. “It is very rewarding to have the recruitment efforts of KLHCI meet with continued success and to know that the Omemee Medical Centre again has a full complement of family doctors.”

Introducing Dr. Kondejewski 

Dr. Kondejewski received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and completed his internship training at the University of Western Ontario. After practicing in the United States for a number of years, Dr. Kondejewski and his family returned to Canada.
Anyone wishing to become a patient of Dr. Kondejewski’s is required to register with Health Care Connect at 1-800-445-1822 or www.ontario.ca/healthcareconnect.

Andrew Veale, President of KLHCI, states:
“KLHCI would like to welcome Dr. Kondejewski and his wife to the City of Kawartha Lakes and wishes them many years of satisfaction, both personally and professionally, within the community.” 
Barry Marr, President of the Omemee Medical Centre Board of Directors. echoed his appreciation for Dr. Dr. Kondejewski:
“We are very pleased Dr. Kondejewski has agreed to practice family medicine at the Omemee Medical Centre and thank KLHCI for all of their hard work to recruit family doctors to our area” states Barry Marr, President of the Omemee Medical Centre Board of Directors.
