Lindsay Police Arrest Reaboro Man!
Reaboro Boozey Runner Luck Runs Out!
Running for party supplies? Don't choose a partier! A Reaboro man is probably wishing he had called a bottle delivery service, rather than driving to Lindsay when his supply ran out. Thanks to a call from a responsible Lindsay Liquor retailer, the boozy driver was removed from the roads before he could harm himself or others.
58 year old Reaboro man found himself in the custody of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service yesterday after an officer stopped him on Highway 35 south of Lindsay following allegations from one of Lindsay’s liquor retailers that the male was impaired and operating a vehicle.
Shortly before 2pm yesterday, a retailer of liquor contacted police advising a male who had been drinking, had just purchased alcohol, gotten into a vehicle, and proceeded to drive away. The caller was able to provide police with a correct licence plate and description of the vehicle.
The officer was able to locate the vehicle on Highway 35 and demanded the male provide a roadside sample of his breath. After failing the roadside device, the male punched the officer in the face.
Robert TULLY of Reaboro has been arrested and charged with operating a vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol and assaulting police.
Mr. TULLY is to appear in court on June 28th of 2012.
Your Call Can Save Lives- Here's How
Kawartha Lakes Police Service wish to remind the public of the importance of a correct licence plate and description of the vehicle when calling police with information or an allegation. If you spot an impaired driver, jot down the licence plate and description of the vehicle, then call 911 and ask for the Police. It may be the life of a friend or family member that you save.
