Omemee Historical Society Presents Councillor John Macklem Ward One!

John Maclem has been behind bars. We can only imagine the number of hours of hard labour John has put in behind bars, at  the Olde Jail in Lindsay. John,president of Victoria County Historical Society, is one of the driving forces behind the restoration of the Olde Jail in Lindsay. Mr. Macklem has worked long and hard at helping to secure funding,to preserve the Olde Jail, and establish a place to house the historic treasures of Victoria County. All are welcome to his presentation, Sunday, October 16th.

Trevor Kennedy, a Grade 4 student at Lady Eaton Elementary School in Omemee. and runner up Alanna Laskovich, Grade 9 I.E. Weldon student  will be guests of honour today at the  Historical Society’s annual Book Fair.
