Tuesday, June 19, Scott Young Public School Students will attend one of the largest student gatherings ever at a sporting event in Toronto! Toronto Argonauts will welcome close to 30,000 students who will pack Rogers Centre for the team’s home pre-season game as part of an extraordinary year-end 'Field Trip' to celebrate student success.

The Community Planning Table for Children and Youth for the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton parenting committees are looking for feedback from parents, grandparents, foster parents, and guardians. They want to know what parenting information you would like to see available in our community.
Paper copies of the survey had to be returned to the schools by Friday, December 2, 2011, but the online survey will be open until Friday, December 16, 2011.

TLAC is an arts camp for Grade 7 through 12 students that will take place for 1 week in June 2011! TLAC camp has been in operation since 2003.
Trillium Lakelands Arts Camp offers specialized instruction for Music, Drama, Music Theatre, Dance, and Visual Art within an exciting camp experience. The arts camp is set up as a typical high school day with 4 periods. There are nightly evening concerts featuring performances from major artists, a presentation from a local visual artist and art display. The enriched arts experience is enhanced by the summer camp atmosphere.
Deadline for applications is December 1st.Applications are accepted on a first come completed, first served basis. A waiting list will be kept for any forms received over and above our maximum capacity. Applications that are not complete will be returned, so take your time and complete all sections accurately! This year’s program is looking even more energized than last year! Check with your school office for an application package. Good Clean Fun Benefits Cops 4 Cancer Tomorrow
Scott Young Public School Intermediate and Seniors Students want your dirty car! Tomorrow morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Scott Young Public School Students will be rolling up their sleeves and rubbing down cars in an effort to raise funds for the Cops 4 Cancer Campaign. A staff spokesperson from SYPS noted there may even be a teacher waving balloons on the corner of hwy 7 and Ski Hill Road to attract attention to the event.
