Omemee Family Fishing Week Festivities Feature Pirates!
Stop by 41 King Street East 11am to 7pm to get your start on Family Fun Fishing week. Here are just a few of the fun activities in store for you:
Pirates of the Pigeon : Rescue Operation - Omemee Pigeon has been pigeonnapped by the Pirates of the Pigeon. Help Rescue the Pigeon by following clues throughout the village of Omemee. Watch out for pirate clues,and pirates around the village all week long.
Greatest Fish Tale Adults & Under 18 with Parental consent- Just How Big was that Fish that got away? Let us video you telling your best Fish Tale and place it on YouTube,then get your friends to vote , vote VOTE! Winner will be determined by a combination of the tale with the most likes and judging criteria.Top 3 Stories will each be invited back to share their tale as VIPs during the August Bass Fishing Festival, and be featured in the Omemee Pigeon eFlyer eZine. Kids Fishing Postcard from Omemee- Omemee Post Office Sponsors Kids' Postcard writing activity. Omemee Post Office has kindly donated Pre-stamped fishing postcards so children can send a postcard anywhere in the world for free to tell friends and relatives about their adventures fishing in Omemee.Location- 41 King St E
Omemee Treasure Hunt : Gain bonus entries in the Omemee Treasure Hunt by visiting local businesses, in person, and online to complete Trivia questions,and do tasks. Due to popular demand,this is a continuation of the Treasure Hunt started during Pioneer Days. Prize winners will be announced July 15 7pm Prizes to be picked up at Sponsor before the end of the August Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament. Treasure Hunt Passports available throughout village. Turn in your passport at 41 King St.E. and choose which prizes you most want to win
Silent Auction : The list of Silent Auction items donated to support the Local charities continues to grow. The initial fundraising auction has expanded to include other local charities specified by the donors. Stop by 41 King St. E. to place your bid on a wide variety of items,or drop off a silent auction item, and specify which charity you wish to support.
