Omemee Christmas Treats!
Omemee visitors know Christmas is here! From shop window displays, to Christmas parade floats, Christmas teas and musical jam sessions, Christmas is fully decked out in Omemee today.
Christmas season got its oficial start last night with the Tree Lighting Cermony at Coronation Hall, and today things are in full swing. Visitors may be bemused to see angels, wisemen, and shepherds wending their way to Scott Young Public School to star in the parade, which starts at 1pm. While you are waiting for the parade to begin, here is a list of some don't miss sites around the village today.
- Omemee Post office welcomes your letters to Santa
- Butternut Folk Art 18 King St. E. is a definite stop for crafts supplies,giftware and true handmades
- Omemee Ace Hardware has a window chock full of 'snow' and all the wonderful toys to enjoy it.
- Heaven on Seven - has an old fashioned Candy Floss Machine set up outside their shop at 16 King Street East
- Countryside Pharmacy is setting up their animated window display stop in & get your wish book!
- Christ Church Anglican King Street East will hold a Holly Jolly Luncheon beginning at 1:30 pm pick up your Christmas Baking!
- Franklin Farm Herbals is holding a 2 day Open House 10 am to 4 pm -Beautiful handmade herbal deights for everyone on your list!
- Omemee LIONS are sponsoring Treats & Visit with Santa following the Parade
- Omemee Legion Jam Session with Jim & the Jammers welcomes you to musical fun
- Krowned Kings 41 King St. E - Omemee's newest shop - features fun toys for all ages is where Santa shops
- Omemee Foodland is offering turkey bucks with your grocery purchases.
- Omemee Mister Convenience -Omemee's General Store has those holiday movies you want to see plus Great fun warm hats and a while lot more!
