Bethany Park Softball Association Offers Volunteer Opportunities
Bethany Minor Softball Association Needs Volunteers Can you help?
This summer Bethany Minor Softball Association will be running their youth league and look forward to giving many children the opportunity to enjoy playing the great game of softball. Bethany Minor Softball Association needs people to fill the following positions:
Coaches, Assistant Coaches, In-Field Base Coaches, Score Keepers, Equipment Helpers, and Canteen helpers.
'Even if you have no experience with these positions, don't be discouraged!' shared Erin Hubar, of Bethany Minor Softball Association, adding 'Many of our coaches started out in the same way, helping out a more experienced coach. We will help you in any way we can to find you a spot that fits your interests, and we provide training, support and encouragement to everyone, no matter the position they fill.'
For any teens interested in volunteering and looking to get community hours, Bethany Minor Softball Association is willing and able to support teens just as much as they do any adult volunteers. The children enjoy having your help, and Bethany Minor Softball Association has had much success in past years with teen volunteers.
Bethany Minor Softball Association will be hosting a coaching clinic - run by a certified facilitator who is very generously donating his time to the Association this year. This means the clinic will be free to anyone who attends, making it easier to become a certified softball coach. This clinic will run for about 3.5 - 4 hours and covers the essential coaching skills supplied by Softball Ontario. Having this course supports Bethany Minor Softball Association goals of giving all children of every skill level, the opportunity to learn to play safely, with a focus on fun, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The softball season begins this May and runs until July-August. Anyone interested in helping out and being involved can e-mail baseball@bethanypark.ca, or fill out the volunteer form at http://bethanypark.ca/contact/ become-a-volunteer.html.
Your generous support helps the children have a fantastic season! Thank you to anyone considering volunteering.
