Kawartha Lakes Christmas Window Decorating Contest - Which Windows Do You Love?

Kawartha Lakes 1st Annual Window Decorating Contest Seeks Entrants

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Kawartha Lakes thanks to the 1st Annual Storefront Window Decorating Contest and there is still time to register!

How Kawartha Lakes Businesses Can Register

All businesses or organizations operating in public buildings are eligible to participate by creating an original window display that depicts the traditions, stories or festivities of the Christmas season. Windows should be decorated and your registration submitted by December 1st. Following registration in the contest, you will receive a “Christmas in Kawartha Lakes” window decal that will let community voters know that you are a part of this year’s contest, and your business or organization will be included on the voting ballot. To register, businesses are asked to please contact Andrea in Economic Development at (705) 324-9411 ext. 1366, or at agardi@city.kawarthalakes.on.ca .

How to Vote For your Favourite Christmas Window

Everyone is invited to get out there and vote starting December 1st for their favourite Christmas window online at www.ChristmasInKawarthaLakes.ca or by ballot at any Service Centre and Branch library. Three winning windows will be selected under three categories:

Children’s Choice (children under the age of 12),
Community Choice (open to all residents and visitors over the age of 12), and
Participants Choice (open to all participating contestants).

Trophies will be awarded to contest winners at City Hall in the New Year.
